A few days ago, my class was introduced to an alumni grad who spoke to us about her experience in social media and how she achieved her current career. path. Sarah was very nice and encouraging of all our dreams but cautioned us that the journey would not be easy or fast moving. We may try things that may not work or find ourselves in a job we never expected but are still happy. Listening to her trials and obstacles that she overcame gave me time to reflect on my own chosen career path. Here at App State, I've been the producer of "Up Late App State" and Program Director for App State's television station AppTV but in less than a month all of that goes away. And even though I've applied to more than 50 jobs in the last month, I'm still coming up short. However, I am determined to see my dreams come true and like Sarah I will not stop until I find a career that makes me happy and strong. The road may be tough but I will make it my all and go on to be the best person I can be. Although I'm nervous, I'm excited to see what lies ahead for my future.
