This past week I had the privilege toe attend the National Association of Broadcasters Convention in Las Vegas. Here I learned about all the new broadcasting technologies of today and had the chance to sit in on different panels that would discuss various forms of Broadcast. Since my show is directed at Comedy, one of the panels I sat on was the Brockmire comedy panel that starred Hank Azaria, a well known comedic actor who has starred in different television shows, including the voice of the Simpsons. Here I learned about how to combine a subject that is popular while mixing it with comedy to create a topic that every audience member can enjoy. Anything can be funny, but not everything is funny to every audience member. So you have a to find a balance and stick with your format. NAB was great because, normally you would not have the opportunities to discuss topics like this in Boone. With the knowledge I have accumulated at this convention, I can give new ideas to my staff so that when I graduate, they can create and continue "Up Late App State".
